Time: 2:25 p.m.
Location: In the corridor returning the boys to their advisor classroom before they leave home.
Soud: Ms. Mariam do you know that we're going to get our shahada (report card) now?
Me: Yep! I know!
Soud: My heart is making DAM DAM DAM (along with the cutest illustration of this using his tiny hands).
I laughed. For hours. Still am actually. Isn't this like the most adorable thing in the world?
Gosh, I don't care what I say when I'm frustrated and croaking, but there are some boys that I simply ADORE.

Masha'Allah. Habeebi, that is so cute.
Mariam have you ever considered writing your own chicken soup for the (science teacher's) soul?
You could have another book to record your nightmares :) but defintely one to record the rocks and the dam, dams...and the just plain adorableness.
hehehehehehehe
I KNOW. He is the cutest thing. I could just stuff him in my backpack and take him home:) (but school policy frowns on that:P)
DAM DAM DAM (what a handy sound/expression;)
Hey that's not fair, whenever I used to make equally retarded sound effects at school I used to get a slap in the face, what the hell?
3a olet Dalia: Time..... have changed!
LOL
that explains a lot!! No seriously- A LOT
:P
that this is a terrible exaggeration khayyo. Because if it isn't, then I really think mom and dad should have sent you to an "English" school. LOL.
Heyyyyy... Maybe that's why people send their boys to these schools. They just don't want them to get beaten up by crazy teachers. God knows we didn't face such horror.
Oh, and khayyo, I hope you aren't quoting me literally, because if you are: "Time really... have changed" :P
One last thing... Oh my goodness... your sound effects khayyo. I had totally forgotten about that talent of yours (not so hidden). You were brilliant. I recall thinking you were born a couple of decades too late. You would have been brilliant creating sound effects for radio shows before TV was invented. Are you still cultivating that rare talent?
LOL
I must say I am extremely enjoying this cross-continent brotherly/sisterly babble:P
I was starting to forget how insanely amusing it is for the 3 of us to be in the same place simultaneously- I can't remember the last time this happened! Oh well, at least we're doing the "family bonding" in cyber space, wala il balash:P
jeez, you cracked me up when I remembered abood's sound effects. I know I wasn't exactly a fan back then (and you wouldn't either if you were trying to talk to your friend on the phone and half a meter away your bro was sounding like an ENTIRE ZOO:P) But I must say, if engineering doesn't work out for you bro, you have a pretty solid backup plan:P
As for his schooling, he did go through some tough times poor thing. Remember his 4th grade teacher who kept squeeking "7A SA22AAAAATAK":p
talk about terrifying the poop out of a 9 year old:P (I apologize for the ewW-y expression:P)
I suppose it all depends on the teacher : her/his tolerance level, sense of humour , and disposition .
Thank you anonymous.. One would hope that on the level of school policy there would be something to check both student and teacher behavior.
Forgive the reference to such a silly song, but it just hit me that we're only missing baba here for a full family reunion.
The good news is one line comments are perfectly acceptable :)
Miss you baba!
