No Pain No Gain?

A glimpse of today's Ju-Jitsu class:

Sensei Nadine: Alright, now we'll be working in pairs throwing each other 20 hip throws nonstop. Lets race two pairs at a time and the rest referee to see who finishes first! Mariam, you're up with me.
Mariam: cool!
Sensei Nadine: Ready?
Mariam (filled with happiness and hope): YEP:D
Sensei Nadine: If we lose, I'll kill you.
Mariam (amused): hehehe
Nadine: I hate to lose.
Mariam (now actually giggling): hehehehe alright!
Nadine (menacingly): I MEAN it.
Mariam (Hope and happiness gone- UTTER PANIC instead:P): *gulp*

We won.
I think I suffered a mild head concussion as a result! (Hey try being thrown 20 times in a row by a black belt in a hurry:P)

Great- a death threat AND head concussion in less than 3 minutes. Remind me again why do I pay and drive 30 minutes to do that?

Maybe I should take up something less traumatizing, like say, expressive dance?

HEHEHEHEHE
I couldn't even keep a straight face as I typed this! It would be cool actually to try it out. Only problem is, the only thing the instructor will "express" is the desperate need to kick me out:P

Oh well, head concussions it is then. Ouch- I think I twisted my nose! I'm not kidding!

Today was my first Aikido class. We primarily were learning how to fall safely and cooperatively. I told Sensei you would appreciate it immensely if I learned how to "cooperate" when being thrown instead of resisting to the death :) Salamtek min il concussion.

Oh, and apparently we are a more peaceful art than you guys. We only aim to neutralize our opponent and not hurt them (suits me to perfection? hehe). You guys are mean :P

You twisted your nose? Does that mean your beauty is compromised? Or is it an improvement? How will nose twistosis affect your life? I assume you can still breath :) You know, this class of yours seems like grounds for a lawsuit! A concussed girl with a twisted nose. Hmm. You can almost see the 3arees running as fast (and far) as his legs can carry him.

Oh hon, the 3arees will be running alright, but trust me my twisted nose is the least of his worries:P
hehehehehe

Wow! You're into martial arts now! Yay! We'll be the "Untouchable Sistas";) We scare people:P hehehehe

Yep Aikido is very peaceful, Sensei demonstrated (she used to take it as well, she did a lot of things). I liked it:) You move your opponent in circles, it looked like dancing! hehehe

The thing is, Ju-Jitsu is also not that aggressive, I mean it's working with your opponent and also neutrilizing him, but at the end you have the option to keep it at a lock OR break something away:P But Aikido doesn't have any strikes, so yes you will be our angelic martial artist;)

Oh and I'm SO GLAD you're taking that now, at least I can demonstrate some moves on your without you turning into a "mad chinese pissed off woman" and knocking me down unconscious:P man, talk about over-reacting!!!:P
Yes, "peacefulness" is good for you. Say hi to your sensei for me, oh and at least for now, warn her against demonstrating on YOU:p

Enjoy it sis!
Love you tons!

You can keep your Aikido and Ju jitsu to yourselves. I'll hold on to my TKD and Judo. And if it ever comes to a fight against the two of you, I'll take solace in the fact that I can run decently climb faster than either one :P

P.S. I DID go climbing yesterday. See my theory is true!

LOL

the thought of you going into a "fight against the two of us" amuses me immensely! :P heheheheheh

What could possibly drive you to do that?

Surely something HUGE- like eating your shushbarak portion maybe?;P
