I think I broke a personal record today! I've been out of the house for 14 hours straight- from 6:30 am. till 8:30 p.m.!
I had my normal school day, followed by a 2 hour workshop, then being thrown around (literally) for an hour and a half in my Ju-Jitsu class. What more can a girl want? (lets see.... A truck loaded with Godiva, Guccis for free, a call from Richard Gere- yep, a lot apparently:P)
It was a great day il hamdillah. I'm very happy and thankful, especially after surviving a day like yesterday. But that's the beauty of life I guess... One day it's a "series of unfortunate events" that leaves you desperate and in tears. Come next day though, and it could be the total opposite. You can never tell what's hidden for you around the corner, you just have to stick it out and take it like a man (or a woman as the case may be:P). As one of my favorite oldies beautifully puts it: "Along with the sunshine, there's gotta be a little rain sometime":) But let me not get carried away trying to sound so wise and deep and monkish:)
So back to talking about my great day. I am faced with a dilemma. I am now forced to devise a new scale for measuring great days. Or, wait, maybe SSS can serve a double purpose! Darn, I'm good. So on a scale from 1-10 (based on SSS- Standard SUPER-DUPERNESS scale), today was a solid 20:)
Actually, it would've been 10, but then I had this conversation with one of my kids in 4C at the very last period of the day as I lined them up after the praying recess....
Ahmed: Ms. Mariam I wish we had science 8 times not just 3.
Me: awww, I wish so too hon! I love your class. I really really do.
I do:)

I have to say I envy Ahmed for his science teacher. Where were you when I was nine? Oh, I just remembered, you were in kindergarten :)
By the way, I was just on Ivory's blog, and I think you should go see that movie on Wednesday. Go with mom! Deserted campuses are not fun to walk in alone. The fact that it's in Kuwait just makes it creepier (for me at least). LOL
I have slept some. (Hence the full sentences). Also notice the lack of senseless reptition. Lastly, I would hope that what I'm saying makes some sense.
That's it from me. Signing out. Inviting everyone to go ahead and comment. I'm shutting up now.
Oh no sis, please don't shut up:) me like your babbling:P
Yep, I'm planning to watch it! I'll ask mom or Samar to come along.
Speaking of creepy deserted campuses, have you not tried to walked in Jordan University when it's dark, between the gazillion trees, with an abundance of freaky sounds and not a single light source?
Terrifying I tell you!! (good thing I'm such a brave girl with no "fear of darkness" to speak of- otherwise who knows what I woulda done:P) hehehe
I'm in a dreamy mood. Have you ever walked in the JU campus just after a snowstorm? It's like you are walking in a fairy tale. It seemed like an enchanted forest. Pine boughs heavy with snow, and tiny crystals hanging from tree branches. Magical I tell you!!!! Absolutely pristine. What was I doing there? We probably had a crazy architecture deadline we had to adhere to. But that walk from "bawwabet il bio" up to "il handaseh" was magical. Pristine, I tell you, pristine.
Okay back to work now.
And note that I am honoring your wishes. Babbling it is then (sorry people!)
awww... I SO wanna do that now!
Whether it's walking in JU or snuggling at home, 2-3 day Ammani snowstorms are the best:D
loving your dreamy mood AND your babbling:P thanks siso!;)
